Legendary music producer Washington has some bold advice for Ugandan musicians Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, and Jose Chameleone: stop overdoing things for themselves and start working with artists from other East African countries. But he didn’t stop there – he even suggested that they sign artists from Kenya, Nairobi, and Rwanda. Wait a minute, isn’t Nairobi in Kenya? Well, it seems like Washington might need to brush up on his geography! 😋😋😋
Despite this little blunder, Washington’s message is still a good one. He stressed the importance of collaboration and urged Ugandan musicians to work together to uplift the industry. After all, as someone who has produced hit songs for many of Uganda’s top artists and popular international stars, he knows a thing or two about the music industry.
But his advice to work with artists from other countries is easier said than done. As any musician knows, it can be hard enough to work with people from the same town, let alone from another country. Plus, there’s the language barrier to consider – can you imagine trying to collaborate with someone who doesn’t speak the same language as you? It could be a recipe for disaster… or a hilarious comedy sketch.
Despite the potential challenges, Washington is adamant that collaboration is the way forward. He believes that successful people should support those around them and work with the younger generation to build a better future. And hey, if they can all have a good laugh while doing it, even better!
